Julie Wakefield is an artist, designer, and aspiring educator based in Connecticut.
Her professional design work entails communicating artistic, classic, and thoughtful branding that resonates with communities and local businesses across Connecticut. She has extensive experience in designing for print with hands-on skills in book-making and printmaking. She also works in digital spaces with special focus in social media content creation. These interests overlap in her exploration of experimental type design.
Julie’s art process leans into the abstract, accessing locality and personal memory. She is passionate about arts education, environmental sustainability, and feminism.
Julie received her B.F.A. in Art: Graphic Design and minor in Music from the University of Connecticut.
